BASTARD CHILD DEATH CULT Signs With STEREO DYNAMITE

February 21, 2009

After years of releasing mostly ska-punk and psychobilly albums, the Stereo Dynamite offices suddenly got a hell of a lot noisier with the addition to the label roster of Toronto-based hardcore punk, rock 'n' roll killing machine BASTARD CHILD DEATH CULT.

Together for less than a year, BASTARD CHILD DEATH CULT features former members of two of Toronto's loudest and hardest rocking bands DAMN 13 and CANCER BATS. The band describes itself as "a secret society in the underbelly of the Toronto music scene. A collective of noise merchants who will stop at nothing to preserve the city's legacy of 'amps-on-11, adrenaline-overdrive, chaos-at-all-costs' hardcore-punk rock 'n' roll gospel." Musically, the band come across as a unique hardcore-punk mix of old school (BLACK FLAG, VOID) and the new school (THE BRONX, VICTIMS).

The band is scheduled to hit the studio this weekend to record its debut album with producer Jon Drew (TOKYO POLICE CLUB, FUCKED UP). A June release is expected.

BASTARD CHILD DEATH CULT is:

Adam (Doom) Sewell - vocals
Joel Bath - drums
Dave Smedley - bass
Mike 13 - guitar
Junior - guitar
Darren Quinn - guitar
